HAMPSHIRE residents are being urged to honour the courage of the men and women of the Tigers with a yellow and blue wristband.
Today the regiment is launching the PWRR wristband as a way for people to show their support for the Tigers and raise money for those injured at war.
Proceeds from the sale of the £1 wristbands will be split between the PWRR Welfare Fund, which supports injured soldiers and their families, as well as the Help For Heroes Charity.
Launching the campaign, Eastenders actress Emma Barton said: “Being born and bred a Southerner, PWRR is my local regiment and to help acknowledge the courage and hard work of all the Tigers at home and on overseas operations is a huge honour and privilege.
“I would urge everyone to go out and buy a Tigers wristband to show your support.”
The yellow and blue bands cost £1 each and can be purchased at local army recruiting offices across the region: Southampton’s branch is situated at 125 High Street, Below Bar. They can also be ordered online – see army.mod.uk/pwrr to find out how.
All money raised will be split between the PWRR Welfare Fund and Help For Heroes.
