THE PM’s day began with a trip to City College to announce the creation of thousands of new apprenticeships.
He met youngsters on placements, chatted about the skills they are learning and their future prospects He toured the college’s workshop, where students were working on repairing an old bus before moving on to inspect the bricklaying studio. He said: “We want to listen to what people are saying, act on the advice that they give us, and show that there’s real help for people now.”
The 21,000 new apprenticeships will be created in schools, colleges, hospitals and councils across Britain.
