A TEENAGER has denied responsibility for a horrific nine-car smash on a busy Hampshire motorway.
Two cars were flipped onto their roofs in the late night pile-up, leaving one man fighting for life in hospital with serious head injuries. The 33-year-old spent a month in intensive care at Southampton General Hospital, following the incident on the M27 in October last year.
Yesterday, Charlotte Gardiner, appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court in relation to the crash, and pleaded not guilty to driving without due care and attention.
The 19-year-old, of Buttercup Way, Locks Heath, will now stand trial over the charges in September.
