MORE than £1m is being awarded to voluntary groups in Hampshire in the county council’s latest round of grants.
The cash is being handed out from Hampshire County Council’s policy and resources budget to organisations that benefit communities.
The District Councils of Community Service, which provides support for local voluntary and community groups, was awarded £587,299.
Community Action Hampshire, which supports community groups, was awarded £343,763. Citizens Advice Hampshire will receive £111,289, Hampshire Assoc-iation of Local Councils £92,972, Victim Support Hamp-shire £16,230 and Relate £28,934. A separate grant of £280,000 for the Winchester Cathedral Trust was also approved.
