A SOUTHAMPTON school is celebrating after its teachers were recognised among the best in the county.
Townhill Infant School was awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark, which recognises excellent teaching of literacy and numeracy.
It is the third time the school has won the award.
Clive Webster, Southampton City Council’s executive director of children’s services, presented the award to head teacher Penny Orme at a special ceremony, pictured.
