A TEENAGER has suffered serious head injuries after a violent attack by thugs on Southampton Common.
The 16-year-old boy was punched to the ground by two youths he had been speaking to before the attack.
It took place near the Bellemoor Gate of the Common, a short while after the victim had spoken with a group of youths near the children's play park near the Cowherd's Pub between 10pm and 11pm on Monday night.
The victim was left with facial injuries and treated in hospital for a suspected fractured temple.
Both youths were white, aged around 19, 5ft 10ins tall, medium build and spoke with English accents.
One had a moustache and black scruffy hair whilst the other had light brown hair that was short in length. Both were wearing tracksuits, one was Nike and one was Reebok, both dark in colour.
