A CONCERT takes place tonight in memory of a much-loved Hampshire support worker who died after attending a house party.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of Martyn Duffey, pictured, who collapsed just yards from his Hythe home five days before Christmas. Post-mortem tests proved inconclusive.
This evening pals of the popular 20-year-old – known affectionately as Munch – are staging a musical extravaganza at the Waterside Theatre in Holbury featuring some of his favourite local bands.
MunchFest 2009 co-organiser Scott Auger said: “I t will be a great way to give Martyn a positive send-off.”
A major police investigation was launched after Martyn collapsed and died near his house in Cedar Road, Netley View, in the early hours of December 20, following a party in Viking Close, Black-field the previous evening. A 21-year-old was bailed pending further inquiries after two days of questioning on suspicion of murder.
