FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house in Redbridge Hill, Southampton, this morning after a fire broke out on the first floor.

The crew from Redbridge Hill were called to the house at 8.47am and spent nearly three hours at the scene. No-one was injured.

Police cordoned off a section of the road near the junction with Tebourba Way so that traffic could be diverted.

The police and the fire investigation unit are treating the blaze as suspicious and have launched an investigation into how the fire started.

It is the second time firefighters have been called to the property in recent months after the house was flooded last year following torrential rain.
