HE’S more used to selling Tropicana than singing it.
But that didn’t stop supermarket manager Darren Noonan stripping down to his swimming trunks to sing a George Michael classic for charity.
Daring Darren raised about £500 singing to staff and customers at Sainsbury’s in Hedge End.
The 39-year-old from Locks Heath sang Wham’s chart-topper Club Tropicana to a crowd of about 100.
Check-out captain Amanda Grace has wanted to see look-alike Darren dressed as George since he started there three years ago.
Amanda said: “I told him he looked like George so we decided to do this for Comic Relief.”
Darren said: “It was very nerve-wracking.
When the compere announced me I wanted to walk out the back door not the front door.
“When I saw all the people watching I just thought, ‘Oh my God’, but it’s all for fun and a good cause.
