  • Sainsbury’s in Shirley are having a Red Nose Day Trolly Dash – go to the store to buy your ticket for a chance to win

  • The Romsey Rapids will be holding a Red Nose Day quiz in their Costa coffee shop on Friday starting at 7.30pm. A minimum donation of £1 per team is required, with a maximum of six members in a group, book your place by calling 01794 830333.

  • Head down to the Wine Bar in Bedford Place, Southampton this week and eat something funny for money. Special dishes including Thai red curry and roasted red pepper soup will be on sale up to Friday March 13 with 50p from every dish donated to Comic Relief.

  • Support the Southampton STA Travel branch by donating to comic relief as they take on the Portsmouth branch in a 20-mile cycle race. Donate to Comic Relief as a way of supporting the Southampton saddlers as they race to the opposite branch by going to justgiving.com/statravelsouth.

  • It’s your chance to prove your prowess on the Nintendo Wii and raise cash for Comic Relief in the New Forest. The Wii Sports competition at Monty’s at the Montagu Arms Hotel in Beaulieu starts at 8pm on Friday March 13 and a donation of £1 is asked from people for each go in the contest.

  • Pop into Asda in Totton, Southampton to see staff in fancy dress and donate money to Comic Relief, employees will be dressed as fairies, pirates and in pyjama’s as part of the supermarkets fundraising drive.
