One tonne yellow lorry stolen and abandoned
POLICE are appealing for information about the theft of a one-tonne yellow Thwaites swivel truck and trailer from a compound in Mayles Lane, Wickham.
Taken either on either March 3 or 4, it was seen in the early hours of March 6 being towed by a green Subaru Forester in the Newtown area.
Shortly afterwards, it was found abandoned in Dradfield Lane, Soberton, and the Subaru was discovered burnt out in a field near Dundridge Lane, Bishop’s Waltham.
Police are linking the theft with that, two days later, of a red Vauxhall Corsa from Garfields Road, Bishop’s Waltham. It was found abandoned in Mortimers Lane, Fair Oak.
