HAMPSHIRE’S top politician has agreed to become the president of this year’s New Forest Show.
County council leader Ken Thornber was elected at the annual meeting of the New Forest Agricultural Show Society, which organises the three-day event.
Show chairman Geoff Morgan said: “Ken has always taken a personal interest in rural affairs and the show in particular and his further involvement as president is welcomed by us all.”
The show will be held at New Park, Brockenhurst, on July 28-30.
