A HAMPSHIRE teenager has today become a record-breaking pilot on his sixteenth birthday.
Tom Rule, from Bursledon, has flown into the Guinness Book of Records as the youngest solo pilot in the United Kingdom.
Watched by his friends and family, the 16-year-old completed a circuit of the Old Sarum Airfield, near Salisbury, before negotiating a perfect landing.
But celebrations have been put on hold as the Wildern School pupil goes back to class for the rest of the day.
