SAINTS strikers David McGoldrick and Bradley Wright-Phillips have been cleared over claims they assaulted a fan outside a Southampton pub.
No charges are to be pressed against the pair, who were arrested earlier this month on suspicion of affray and assault.
Saints head coach Mark Wotte, who was angry that his players had been quizzed by police until 3am just days before the 1-0 loss to Birmingham, said: “I am happy for the boys to no longer have this hanging over them.
“We offered the two players our full support throughout the case and we will now continue to keep focused on our football and the challenges ahead, starting with the game against QPR tomorrow.”
