THE identity a man left fighting for his life at a Southampton hospital after plunging from a block of flats is a mystery, police have said.
Five people are being held by police after the man fell from the third floor window of the flats in Lucknow Street, Portsmouth just before 4am.
An ambulance spokesman said he received “severe head injuries” and was treated at the scene before being rushed to Southampton General Hospital.
Police said he is in a critical condition, but they have been unable to identify him.
Four Portsmouth men, aged 41, 35, 28, 31 and a 15-year-old have been arrested in connection with the incident. They are in custody helping police with their enquiries.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
