A PUB landlord has raised money to say thank you to the firefighters who came to his rescue.
David Mortlock summoned help after a chimney caught fire at The Bridge pub in Shawford.
He was so impressed with the fire service’s response that he started raising money for its benevolent fund.
A few weeks and a couple of raffles later, he managed to collect just over £150 for the charity. The firefighters came to the pub in one of their engines to collect the cheque.
