THIEVES have twice raided an art gallery in search of valuable paintings. The Shanklin Gallery on the Isle of Wight was burgled twice in two days.
A distinctive painting of three red poppies, pictured, was stolen followed by the theft of a black and white print the next night.
Police are keen to trace a man who was seen walking across Regent Street and turning left into Carter Road at 10.30pm on Monday, March 16, the night of the second burglary. The man was described as wearing a dark blue woolly hat and dark blue jacket.
