A SEX offender was able to rejoin his family in the Far East after being spared an immediate prison sentence.
Liam Sheehan, 46, received a sixmonth suspended sentence after admitting two offences of indecency with a child that happened at a house in Southampton almost 30 years ago.
Prosecutor Carl Anderson told the city crown court the victim “psychologically felt she could no longer keep quiet and reported the matter to the police”.
Sheehan, from Worthing, was also placed on the sex offenders’ register.
