A MOTORIST has appeared in court charged over the death of a Southampton cyclist.
Julia Moor appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court to face an allegation of causing death by dangerous driving.
The 30-year-old of Rownhams Road, Maybush, was charged following an accident that killed Greg Dear, pictured. It is alleged that she was the driver of a Fiat Punto when it collided with Mr Dear who was riding along Millbrook Road West on October 16. Mr Dear, 27, a carpenter and tiler of Cliff Road, Freemantle, Southampton, later died of his injuries at the neurological unit of Southampton General Hospital.
The case against Moor was sent to Southampton Crown Court for a hearing in May. She was released on conditional bail.
