POLICE recovered drugs worth £8,000 when they raided two houses in Southampton.
In an airing cupboard at the home of Timothy Jones’s girlfriend, they found a bag containing about £2,700 in cash and five separate amounts of amphetamine.
During a search of his home, Jones indicated a bag in the top drawer of a cupboard that was found to contain further amphetamine, four Ecstasy tablets and a small amount of ketamine.
Prosecutor Richard Willcox said almost £2,800 was also seized from a rucksack lying on his bed.
Jones, 43, of Knighton Road, South-ampton, admitted possessing amphetamine with intent to supply. He was given 18 months supervision, ordered to do 200 hours community service and observe a three-month curfew. He also had the money forfeited and must pay £700 costs.
Judge Peter Ralls QC said Jones had spent 117 days on remand during which time he had completed courses to address his drug habits and his conduct had been exemplary.
