ONE Hampshire village is still celebrating the return of its famous carnival as the cash rolls in with no strings attached.
Despite being axed two years ago, the comeback of the Titchfield Carnival was a huge hit, leaving organisers able to share its success with villagers.
With money left over from the carnival kitty and thanks to a plethora of fundraising events, the Titchfield Bonfire Boys have donated £1,750 to seven village groups.
Those receiving a cash boost included Titchfield Primary School’s steel band, Pans Ablaze, who were handed £400, and St Peter Puppets, who got £250 to buy two new puppets for their Mothers’ Day performance at Titchfield Church.
