Lily Allen is to appear Bestival 2009.
The It's Not Me, It's You singer, whose Dad Keith grew up in Gosport, has joined Kraftwerk and Massive Attack on the bill at the festival, which takes place on the Isle of Wight on September 11, 12 and 13.
Bestival's Rob da Bank - who hails from Warsash - said: "Lily Allen chipped up at Bestival 2006 just as she was becoming massive, donned a full rabbit fancy dress outfit with massive pink ears, completely nailed the crowd and hung out all weekend having fun. So I'm delighted she's coming back to do it all again with another brilliant No 1 album under her belt."
He went on: "I've grown up with Orbital's anthems from Chime to Belfast and I can't wait to see the brothers Hartnoll DJ on the main stage and I'll be wearing my laser specs in honour. La Roux, Jack Penate, The Penguin Cafe and The Big Pink are all non-stop on the da Bank jukebox at the moment too so I'm well pleased to be welcoming all of them to Bestival too. See ya down the front!"
Bestival has an annual fancy dress theme, this year's being Outer Space and from April Lily has agreed to judge an online competition for the best outfits.
Applicants can email photos of their outfit to fancydress@bestival.net and the best five will be posted on www.bestival.net with Lily picking a winner each month, who'll win a special prize.
After six months, Lily will choose an overall winner to receive a lifetime's supply of tickets to Bestival.
