IT was one small step for man – and one giant leap for mankind, of course – when this spaceman touched down in Hampshire.
The Intech Science Centre at Morn Hill, near Winchester, was showing off the NASA astronaut outfit from the Apollo space programme of the 1960s onwards.
Last week city councillor Adrian Hicks, who believes he saw an alien in the High Street, unveiled his theory that aliens are based under the Chilcomb military ranges and use the distinctive pyramidal Intech as some kind of landmark.
Intech spokesman Andy Lane said he was interested to hear Cllr Hicks’ signpost theory.
“We cannot get permission for a road signpost from the planners,” he told the Daily Echo.
