A MOTORIST killed near Southampton was more than twice above the drink-drive limit and not wearing a seatbelt.
An inquest in Winchester heard that Geoffrey Manns died instantly on the A27 Kanes Hill.
His green Rover 214 collided head-on with a Ford Fiesta, whose driver escaped with minor injuries.
The inquest heard that Mr Manns, 64, an estate agent, had been drinking in Warsash and Bursledon on September 6 last year.
He was driving home to Thornhill Park Road, Southampton, when the crash happened.
Coroner Grahame Short recorded a verdict of accidental death.
