PARENTS are being asked to be on their guard after a man was seen approaching children in Winchester.
The incident happened at about 11am on Wednesday when two 12-year-old children were walking along Stanmore Lane near the junction of Oliver’s Battery Road. A man parked in a white Audi car approached the children making indecent suggestions before driving off when they went into a nearby shop.
He is described as "non-white" and aged between 30 and 40. Parents at King’s School on Romsey Road have been notified as well as other schools in the area.
Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for parents in the Stanmore area to be vigilant. Contact Hampshire police on 0845 045 45 45.
