HAMPSHIRE firefighters are now in the driving seat to put the brakes on arson attacks, thanks to some new wheels.
Eden Vauxhall in Fareham has donated a Vauxhall Corsa Active to the fire service’s community liaison officer.
The new car will be used to visit arson hotspots in Fareham and Gosport in a bid to reduce the number of fires started in the area.
Fareham station manager Paul Coates said: “This donation will enable the liaison officer to follow up on arson incidents and identify potential arson targets and take action to reduce the risk.”
