A NATIONAL heart charity is calling on runners to set their pulses racing in a fundraising jog around Southampton Common.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) hopes its annual “Southampton Sprint”
will attract more than 300 participants to walk, jog, or run around a choice of 3km or 6km routes to raise £10,000.
There will be medals for all participants and prizes for the first runners to cross the line in both races and for the highest fundraiser.
Entries are now being taken for the event on June 3, now in its fourth year.
Money raised will help fund pioneering research in Southampton into the causes and treatment of heart disease.
