HEAVY Bank Holiday traffic was today causing long tailbacks for motorists on one of the main routes through the New Forest.
Queues were reported on the busy A337 at both Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst as holidaymakers made their way through the National Park.
A police spokesman said: "It is likely to be just the weight of holiday traffic. Nothing untoward has happened on the roads and there are no reports of any incidents."
