A NEW Southampton University study will explore whether there is a link between a pregnant women’s diet and her child developing heart disease.
The research will focus on the type and amount of fat a pregnant woman eats and whether that puts her child at added risk of heart disease, including high blood pressure, in adulthood.
Dr Graham Burdge, from the University's School of Medicine is leading the British Heart Foundation funded study. He said: “We know very little about the effects of changes in dietary fat on the development and future health of their children.”
