An Ordnance Survey employee is playing his role in the removal of British troops from their Iraqi base in Basra.
RAF reservist Corporal Andy Franklin is in charge of the Cargo Yard at the Contingency Operating Base liasing with Army and RAF personnel.
The 43-year-old Air Movements Operator from Southampton ensures freight coming in and out of the base is unloaded and loaded quickly.
As part of the Royal Auxiliary Air force Andy has already served in Afghanistan and will return home to pick up his Iraq medal at the end of the month.
