ALRESFORD’S eel house has received a £1,000 restoration grant from New Alresford Town Council.
Hampshire’s only surviving eel house was close to collapse in 2006 when Alresford Society and New Alresford Town Trust stepped in to save it, with the help of grants, including £3,000 from Winchester City Council.
The building will be open on May 17, July 19, August 31 and September 12 and 13.
