A DRIVER and her dog became trapped after the car they were in crashed on the outskirts of Romsey.
Fire crews were called at around 6pm on Sunday amid reports of a single car smash on Pauncefoot Hill By the time they arrived, the Stafford Bull Terrier had escaped the wreckage, while a team from Romsey Fire Station had to use cutting tools to free the female driver.
She was taken to hospital for checks while the dog was treated on the scene for minor head injuries and concussion.
