See the weapons of bugs’ destruction
THE latest potential weapons in the fight against hospital infections will be on show at Southampton General Hospital today.
Prototypes include commodes, mattress and chairs that are all designed to be easier to clean in order to minimise the spread of superbugs such as MRSA.
Some of the UK’s top designers and manufacturers were appointed by the Department of Health to come up with the designs.
Visitors can see the “Design Bugs Out Showcase Hospital exhibition tour” tomorrow at the hospital’s clinical skills area on B level, South Academic Block, between 10am and 4.30pm.
