A PENSIONER was pushed through a shop window by a gang of thugs who stole his bag.
The 70-year-old victim suffered serious cuts to his hands and legs in the incident, which police are describing as "horrendous".
The pensioner was walking along Pylewell Road, Hythe, yesterday when he was confronted by two boys and a girl.
After pushing him through the window they made off with his bag containing dried fruit and a bunch of flowers.
Det Con Luke Donovan said: "This is an horrendous attack on an older gentleman. We need to identify three youths seen running away from the scene immediately after the incident."
All three youths were wearing hoodies. The girl had short, bleached blond hair, gold hoop earrings and dark trousers.
Police say the pensioner was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
