ONE of England’s most famous kings gave his royal approval to celebrations in Hampshire.
Celebrities of the past such as King Henry VIII and Florence Nightingale, and TV stars of today, including actress Lisa Riley, descended on Fareham to mark the 25th anniversary of the town’s tourist information centre.
The two-day celebration gave families and visitors the chance to have a look at what the borough has to offer, with guests from local attractions on standby to answer any questions. Mark Bowler, head of leisure and community, said: “The tourist information centre is a valued asset within the community and we are very pleased they are celebrating 25 years of serving residents and visitors to Fareham.”
