POLICE are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of a 43-year-old man from Southampton after he failed to turn up for a lift to work this morning.
Dale Churchill's employer, who is also his landlord then went to his home address and discovered a note that has led police to think he may be suicidal.
Mr Churchill comes from Oakley Road in Shirley and was last seen yesterday by one of the other tenants in the property.
It is thought he could be either still in Southampton or the Totton or New Forest area. He also has connections with Swanage in Dorset.
Officers are trying to locate him as quickly as possible and are asking anyone who thinks they may know where he is or has seen them to contact them as soon as possible.
He is described as white, with a round face, large build, brown eyes, brown hair and a receding hair line.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Duty Sergeant at Shirley Police Station on 0845 045 4545
