Gurkha champion Joanna Lumley indicated she smelt victory today as she arrived for talks with Gordon Brown.
Campaigners for Gurkha veterans are already celebrating after the Prime Minister signalled they will all now be given the right to settle in Britain after a Government climbdown.
Ms Lumley nodded when asked if she could smell victory as she arrived for her meeting in Downing Street she said today she was ''outstandingly optimistic'' that her campaign for the rights of veterans to settle in the UK had finally succeeded after she met with Gordon Brown.
