THE headmaster of a private Southampton school facing allegations of indecent assault on young boys has been charged with further offences, the Daily Echo can reveal.
Brother Jack Davis was already facing six separate charges relating to the sex offences against teenagers.
The allegations were made by three former pupils at St Mary’s College where Davis has been a teacher for more than 30 years.
Now detectives investigating the 65-year-old have brought two further counts of indecent assault against him, following extensive enquiries.
Police have confirmed the latest allegations, which were put to Davis during an appearance at a Southampton police station this week, also relate to juveniles. All of the alleged offences took place in the 1970s and 1980s.
Davis, of St Gabrielle’s Road, London, appeared in court in March following the initial charges, where he spoke only to confirm his name and address and indicate his not guilty plea.
He is due back before Southampton magistrates today, when he will have the further counts read out.
His case is then expected to be officially transferred to Southampton Crown Court where it will be listed for trial.
Davis has been suspended from the £4,700-a-year school in Bitterne Park since he was charged with the first alleged offences. He is currently on police bail.
