THIS little porker knew how to keep his cool yesterday on what proved to be the hottest day of the year so far in Hampshire.
Licking away at his ice-cream, the piglet was enjoying the sunshine down at Manor Farm Country Park in Bursledon as temperatures reached a sizzling 22 degrees C.
But the sun cream may have to be replaced with umbrellas as thundery showers are set to hit the county later on this afternoon.
Despite temperatures being expected to reach similar highs this morning, the Met Office predicts that the Bank Holiday will end with a downpour.
Spokesman Robin Downton said: “Temperatures are set to rise quickly this morning but there will be a threat of thundery showers in the afternoon.
“However Hampshire may escape the rain, depending on how quickly the cloud moves in.”
