The Daily Echo has created its very own duck island to rival that of Sir Peter Viggers – but it’s all on a shoestring.
It may have cost Sir Peter more than £1,600, but the Daily Echo’s DIY effort cost just £21.
It is a more modest version of the Gosport MP’s water feature and was put together with materials costing £21 from a craft store. The smaller scale effort has a thick polystyrene base, thinner polyfoam walls, roof tiles, wooden decorations and a lick of paint.
