A LARGE flat screen TV proved too much for burglars who abandoned it as they made their getaway from a Rownhams property.
However, the intruders kept hold of a Cartier watch worth £1,000 and a pair of gold cufflinks valued at £300, taken from the house in Rownhams Lane, between 1.30pm and 2pm on May 20.
Entry to the property was gained through a rear window, say police.
The 52in Toshiba TV was found abandoned and police would like to hear from anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in that area around the time of the offence.
They would also like to know if readers are offered the chance to buy the watch or cufflinks.
The watch has a double steel bracelet and a square off-white face with black Roman numerals.
Anyone with any information should call police on 0845 045 4545.
