A MAN has been rushed to hospital after the car he was driving overturned.

The accident happened on the B3079 near Lyndhurst, sometime between 12.30am and 5.30am this morning.

The crashed vehicle was reported to police at 5.30am, but the last known action of the driver was at 00.30, when he dropped a friend at Lyndhurst.

It is believed the blue Honda Civic travelled on the A337 from Lyndhurst to the roundabout near junction one of the M27. The driver then joined the westbound B3079, but crossed onto the oncoming carriageway before leaving the road on the driver’s side.
