Wellow and District Branch of the Royal British Legion will commemorate the 65th Anniversary of D-Day in an Act of Remembrance on Saturday at 11am.
Members of the branch will gather at the village war memorial for a short service led by the Rev George Biggs, vicar of St Margaret’s Church, Wellow and St Leonard’s, Sherfield English, who is also Legion member.
The service will include the reading of a poem about D-Day, the reading of a roll of honour by branch chairman, Brian Brabham and, following the laying of a wreath, a minute’s silence.
