DETECTIVES have launched an investigation after a man's body was found on the Hampshire foreshore.

Police were called to Eling, near Totton, at 7am today after a member of the public discovered the body between Eling Hill and Goatee Beach.

It is believed to that of a man who was aged between 25 and 30 years.

Officers are attempting to establish the circumstances surrounding his death and a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out today or tomorrow. However, the death is not thought to be suspicious.
