AN inquest into the death of a Hampshire firefighter found hanged at his own fire station is due to be held today.
Robert Beazley’s body was discovered the day after he had been arrested and interviewed in connection with an alleged assault.
Mr Beazley, pictured, 22, of High Street, Lymington, is thought to have been detained following an argument with his girlfriend.
He spent several hours in custody before being released in the early hours of April 11 last year. After failing to appear at his home he was reported missing at 4.20am. Police saw his car parked outside Lymington fire station and discovered his body inside the building.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service described Mr Beazley’s death as a huge loss to his family, the service and the community.
