IT was their pride and joy.
Now a couple have been left with a £514 repair bill after their brand new black Saab 93 convertible was splattered with wet cement as they drove along a major Southampton road.
Lorraine and Neil Hickman fear that the messy mixture containing concrete residue could cause permanent damage to the paintwork of their £30,000 vehicle.
They are among around 60 motorists who have reported damage to their cars after driving through wet cement that was accidentally sprayed on to Redbridge flyover during roadworks.
The Daily Echo has received numerous calls from affected motorists after highlighting the case of Lynette Toop’s cement coated car yesterday.
Mr and Mrs Hickman, who have a son Jack, 12, and daughter Rebecca, 15, were driving home on the flyover from Ikea and believed the grey looking liquid to be muddy water.
