A HAMPSHIRE teenager is helping dozens of women strip off for a saucy calendar to raise cash for injured servicemen and women.
Nineteen-year-old Kelly Monk came up with the idea for the British Forces SWAG Calendar after deciding to support the Daily Echo-backed Help for Heroes campaign.
So far more than 30 ladies from across the country, including six from Hampshire, have agreed to strip off for the semi-nude calendar which is currently being shot.
All the calendar girls have partners or husbands in the armed forces and will be donning either Army, nNavy, RAF or marine headgear in the photos.
Kelly, a photographer, from Botley, said the calendars would cost around £7 each.
She said: “I was just sat talking to with my boyfriend’s sister about what we could do to help the heroes and this Calendar Girls advert came on the TV and that was it. We thought it would be a good idea. Doing the calendar was all good fun and we had a laugh.”
The girls from Hampshire featured in the calendar are Emma Dodge, 26, from Winchester, Hannah Mead, 24, and Louise Pybus, 23, from Romsey, Chantelle Aitkins, 18, from Portsmouth, Beth Critch, 20, from Tidworth, and Kelly.
The teenager is hoping to sell around 2,500 copies and is also looking for sponsorship for the calendar, which is due out in September. If you can help contact her on 07824901104.
