THE Government’s new website to deal with swine flu queries has overlooked advice for people living on the Isle of Wight.
A list of places where flu victims could pick up antiviral treatment missed any locations on the Island, leaving flu victims having to use ferries for Southampton for their nearest pick-up point.
Isle of Wight MP Andrew Turner alerted the office of the Secretary of State for Health and was told the mistake would be corrected.
So far there are 16 pharmacies available as pick-up points for Tamiflu treatment, and prescriptions for the drug on the Island have risen from 100 to 400 in the past week.
