SOUTHAMPTON’S popular FREE K2 Urban Youth Festival will return to the city centre’s Hoglands Park on Saturday.
The music and arts festival offers an opportunity for youngsters aged 11 to 24 to perform on stage.
With two stages and an ‘open mic’ area performers will be able to show off their singing, dancing and stand-up comedy talent.
Other attractions include sporting activities such as football, volleyball and a climbing wall.
A variety of creative workshops will also be on offer including photography, sculpture and even circus skills. Organisations that work with young people will also be present throughout the day offering information on health matters and educational, employment and volunteering opportunities.
Now in its fifth year, organisers hope the event will be a major success.
One of the organisers Simon Whitmore said: “It’s a great opportunity for local youngsters to showcase their talents.”
