A BIKER aims to follow in the tyre tracks of princes William and Harry by braving one of the world’s toughest challenges.
Noel Robertson, pictured, is planning to take part in Enduro Africa, an international event that involves more than 1,000 miles of off-road biking, tackling 60-degree ascents and other obstacles in the South African wilderness.
The event in October aims to raise at least £150,000 for four charities, including UNICEF and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund. Last year competitors included Prince William and Prince Harry.
Noel is planning to be one of about 200 bikers taking part next year and hopes to raise £15,000 – but first he must find almost £5,000 to cover the entrance fee.
The project support engineer, from New Milton, said: “I’ve got to the age where I feel the need to give something back. I come from South Africa and the charities appeal to me.” Sponsor Noel at ezee4u2.com.
